TEAM BUILDING BETWEEN MPP, SMF AND SOPHYS SESSION 2019/2020

  

Team Building is an annual programme for faculty pharmacy student representatives that aims to improve leadership skill and encourage strong relationship between 3 student representatives society of faculty pharmacy which is Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (MPP), Sekretariat Mahasiswa Fakulti (SMF) and Society of Pharmacy Student (SOPHYS.)

 

 The programme was held on 29 February to 1 Mac 2020 at YEOB Village, Kampung Hulu Perdik, Hulu Langat involving 80 students chosen from MPP, SMF and SOPHYS to represent each society.

 

 The team building programme was packed with several physically and mentally challenging activities that aimed to strengthen participants leadership skills and to break the ice among each society member. One of the activities held was aimed to clarify each participant about our faculty mission and strategic planning as well as to teach them how to complete Student Activity Application Form or Form C and paperwork efficiently.

Apart from that, various fun activities such as nightwalk, jungle trekking, forest cooking and obstacles challenges were also held to test participants' survival knowledge, leadership and physical and mental endurance.
 
 
 After the program ended, each participant agreed that the team building program helps them know each other better and promote strong leadership skills and many more. The program director, Wan Anwar is also glad that the team building programme was successful and able to fulfill the program objectives. Besides, he also highlighted some area of improvement for future improvement for future programs.

ONLINE FORUM "IT'S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY" 2020

  Online Forum titled “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” was the first programme that conducted online through Facebook Live platform and it was organized by Sekretariat Mahasiswa Fakulti Farmasi. This programme was held on 30 September 2020 from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.  Mental health problem is expected to be the second highest form of health problem amongst Malaysians. A lot of people choose to fight this battle alone due to the social stigma towards mental health illness. Mental health awareness can provide helpful support for people who struggle with this problem. This programme was held to raise awareness on the importance of mental health in society as well as  provide guidance  for those who are severely affected mentally due to the COVID-19 pandemic. CPD Talk Volume 2

CPD Talk Volume 2 was the last event in coincidence with Pharmacy Healthcare Day (PHD) 4.0. The talk was held at DK500 from 2.00 pm until 4.00 pm on 27th March 2019. For this time, we invited Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Azrizal Bin Mat Rahim as the honorable speaker with the title of talk: " Humanitarian Pharmacists: The Heroes Among Us" Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Azrizal is a chief pharmacist of Hospital Angkatan Tentera Tuanku Mizan. To make it short, Lieutenant Azrizal shares his experience along his journey as humanitarian pharmacists. During the last session with the speaker, a few students ask questions relating to his sharing. We can learn that pharmacists have a large area to be involved with as a health expert. One of them is in the humanitarian areas that really need an expert to cure any illness with limited access.
