CPD Talk Volume 1

On 20th March 2019, Wednesday, Sekretariat Mahasiswa Fakulti held CPD Talk Volume 1 in conjunction with program Pharmacy Healthcare Day (PHD) 4.0 at DK500 from 2.00pm until 4.00pm.

For this CPD Talk Volume 1, we invited Mr Yong Wei Shian as a speaker with title Pharmacist's Role in Bridging Healthcare & Technology Drive Innovation in Patient-Centric Care.

First and foremost, let get acquainted about the speaker. He is a healthtech entrepreneur, pharmaceutics, data analysis, and business intelligence. His educated from the University of Science Malaysia, Penang with a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Mr. Yong Wei Shian was awarded as The Good Impact Award 2016 in Digi Challenge for Change, Top 25 Social Entrepreneur 2015 by Malaysia Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC), facilitate as Speaker & Entrepreneurship Workshop in MyPSA Young Entrepreneur Program 2015 to 2018, Malaysia Representative of Telenor Youth Forum 2014 and 2016 and The Youth Award 2014.

To make a conclusion from his sharing, he told us as pharmacy students, we have a wide area in pharmaceutics that can be related to intervention in Information Technology as the involvement of technology in today's era is a must. Since pharmacists are one of the health public servants responsibility in ensuring the health of the community in this country is controlled condition, we should keep applying pharmaceutical with updated technology as a way of prevention to many diseases that keep increasing by day.
